IMPACT ACADEMY PROGRAMS BY GVI
THE PROGRAM
The Impact Academy program is a hybrid online/offline program. It combines 8 weeks of online learning with 2 or 4 weeks of optional on the ground learning in Nepal, Fiji, Peru or another country where GVI operates around the world. It has been specifically developed to meet the needs of both employers and candidates in the "for good" sector.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is for participants to secure a job by demonstrating relevant skills and an understanding of the practical, in-country realities of development and conservation.
Our success will be measured by the proportion of graduates being employed in these fields after graduation.
*This component is optional.
OUR PARTNERS
Impact Academy programs are currently offered by the continuing education branches of the institutions of higher learning shown below. If you would like to apply for an Impact Academy program, please select an institution below.
DIRECT LINK TO JOBS

Career paths in sustainable development are not obvious.
As the importance of development increases, career paths and opportunities are quickly growing.
CAREER PATHS
Our Impact Academy program includes personalized guidance toward a career in sustainable development, matched to participants' experience, skills and interests.
Some participants will come with a little or no background in sustainable development, while others will be looking to learn more advanced skills. This program is suitable for all learners.
We prepare participants with the necessary skills for careers in the sustainable development sector that are growing, and require candidates.
LIVE VACANCIES

The Impact Academy program uses a unique model that teaches participants to analyze and plan for the on-the-ground realities of international development and conservation programs.
Participants are provided with frameworks and real-world examples to understand how context affects implementation. They will then engage in real-life projects while working with organizations on current issues.
The program directly answers the need expressed by employers in purpose-driven organizations: that candidates gain first-hand experience of the cultural, political, logistical and economic issues that impede development.
